Lo2: Legal and Ethical issue

Obscene Publications Act 1959
It is about to be illegal to publish anything that can be seen to influence people badly like the promotion of drugs and drinking.
The age of the magazine readers is 16-19. My target audience could be influenced negatively by drinking promotions since my target audience is under age. I will be going to gigs and some of them which could impact negatively since people could think they go to a gig and then get drunk. I will not use picture of people getting drunk.. Also, the use of language because it could affect negatively since the responses from the band made include swearing. If the band are using obscene language, it will be censored.

Libel Law
It is illegal to publish harmful content about people and untrue information.
One way to get around this is to use ambiguity. Another way to get around this law is to give them a copy of the article has been written and give it to them through a release and consent form. Before giving it to them, it will be necessary to do some fact checking. Any sources used are reliable sources eg. with websites (gov. org ac.). Referencing the source of the website.

Copyright, Design, and Patents act 1988
It is illegal to someone else's work without their permission.
I will adhere to this for my magazine by using a consent and release form which will need to be signed by all models used in the magazine so that it is OK to use the photography and that it is fine to use it in my magazine. As well as this, I'll need locations permission like gigs places or cafés. I do the design of masthead or slug so that I don't need to use someone else's permission for my designs since this is covered by intellectual property. I need to get permission for any other brands or logos.

Laws of contempt
This law says that it is illegal to use any content or publish anything that could sway a jury because  that could affect the outcome.
My magazine is music and most places do not allow underage drinking so having drinking awakeness sign.

Any article to do with achol and drugs can

Ethical issues
Models need to be from different ethnic backgrounds and sizes so that we don’t discriminate against people and promote a certain body type. My target audience is very impressionable. Also, I will not sexualise my models. Also,  I will not glamourize the taking of alcohol and drugs by not having drinking in my images and using the alcohol awareness banner. I will also  get bands that are both male and female so that I  have equality have represented.
